Independent arrival at Hamburg International Airport. Take a taxi to the super deluxe FAIRMONT FOUR SEASONS HOTEL on Alster Lake where we stay for four nights. This evening we will have our Briefing with cocktails, followed by Gala Welcome dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant.

Thursday, May 2. (B). HAMBURG
This morning we take an orientation sightseeing tour of the city by bus, to see the Elbphilharmonie, the Port of Hamburg, Warehouse district, Nikolai Memorial, Reeperbahn, the nightlife district of St. Pauli and other sights. Afternoon is free to visit any of the fine arts museums nearby; the Art Gallery, Gallery of Contemporary Arts, the Bucherius Kunst Forum, Museum of Art and Industry, as well as the Brahm’s Museum amongst others.

Friday, May 3. (B). HAMBURG
This morning we take a walking tour, of the second largest city in Germany. Among the sights are; the City Hall, churches of Saint Michaels and Saint Jacob, Counting House buildings, and the Old Town. This evening we will see the opera La Clemenza di Tito by Mozart. One of the most renowned conductor Adam Fisher is conducting this opera at Hamburg State Opera.

This morning we visit the Thomas Church where Johann Sebastian Bach played the organ and is buried. On Whit Sunday in 1539, Martin Luther gave a Sermon here to inaugurate the reformation. We also visit the home of composer Felix Mendelsohn. This evening we will see the opera Elektra by Richard Strauss at Oper Leipzig.

Tuesday, May 7. (B,D). LEIPZIG – DRESDEN visit Weimar
This morning we first drive to and stop in WEIMAR. The one-time capital of Germany after the First World War. We visit the homes of the legendary writers Johan Wolfgang von Goethe and Frederich Schiller. We will also see the summer residence of composer Franz Liszt. We then drive on to Dresden, where we stay three nights at the deluxe KEMPINSKI TASCHENBERG HOTEL. This evening we will have our Gala farewell dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant.
Dresden often hailed as the "Florence of the North," beckons with its artistic allure. Nestled along the banks of the Elbe River, this enchanting city has long captivated artists. Morning sightseeing by bus for an orientation tour of this city, made famous by Augustus the Strong, to see the rococo and baroque architecture collection, started by him. This evening we will see the opera Otello by Verdi at the Semper Oper.

This morning we will visit the Green Vault Museum to see the fantastic collection of precious objects. This afternoon we will visit the Zwinger Palace, to see the huge collection of Old Masters, from Rembrandt to Ruben. This evening we will see the opera Die Zauberflöte by Mozart at the Semper Oper the renowned opera singer Sebastian Wartig is playing Papageno.
